RCID flocks to 2022 RSA Conference in Baltimore, Maryland
Many RCID alumni and current students attended the 20th Biennial Rhetoric Society of America conference, hosted in Baltimore, Maryland from May 26-29. RCID students hosted panels and presented papers.
Dr. Cynthia Haynes hosted a panel that Drs. Eda Özyeşilpınar, Illinois State University, Victoria Houser, Methodist University presented on Thursday, May 26. Sheila Dodson, Doctoral Candidate, hosted a panel on Thursday as well. Dr. Whitney Jordan Adams, Berry College, hosted a panel including Sarah Richardson, Doctoral Candidate, and Haley Swartz.
Dr. Jacob Richter presented on and hosted panels on rhetorical disruptions in algorithmic governance. Dr. Mari E. Ramler, Tennessee Technological University, also presented on and hosted a panel.
Dr. Victoria Houser and Hannah Taylor, Doctoral Candidate, presented on a conference together Friday afternoon. Hannah had a separate presentation on Sunday morning on feminist rhetorics.
Dr. April O’Brien, Sam Houston State University, presented on public memory Friday afternoon.
Dr. Cody Hunter hosted a panel Saturday morning on rhetorics of civic change, and Dr. Shauna Chung presented.
Lane Riggs presented on Saturday afternoon.
